All in all great campground, but beware of HUGE mosquitos in warm, wet weather.

42 Mile Crossing is a useful and well maintained place to camp in the Coorong NP. Decent facilities, ample space (on all but the most busy weekends) and lovely sunsets and views along the beach.

Lovely place that host some friendly kangaroos and in the early morning we had 2 emu in our campsite. Only $15 overnight clean toilets and good unsealed road in good for big rihs we got our 26ft motorhome in no worries. Do not attempt to get to the beach without a 4WD. we saw 2 cars attempt and fail resulting in requiring to be winched out by some helpful fellows who were fishing the beach.

The wetlands are spectacular and i spent a good hour flying a drone for some great early morning film and photos. Great place to explore and the birds and wildlife are great ro watch. Recommend stopping here with the family. Be wary of snakes in the warm weather.

Nice campground, $15 a night (pay online, it's easy.) Kangaroos and emus. Don't bother with "Beach walk" path it's just a very rough track through bush, flies are unbearable and it's almost certainly full of snakes... Use the 4x4 track to walk to the beach, which is amazing. But maybe stay out of the sea, it's a little wild most of the time.
